Fred is a man who lives with his wife Marlene in a rural area of Louisiana.

There is a dog, Rover, who lives in the woods nearby and frequently visits the home of Fred and Marlene.

Rover sees things that need attention and takes on the task of correcting the problems.

Sometimes he finds Fred's garden hose rolled up and it's up to DomiSi to spread the garden hose out on the yard to give it some freedom.

Sometimes he finds the roots of Marlene's flowers covered in dirt.

Rover takes on the task of digging the dirt off these flower roots to allow room to breathe.

For some reason, Rover's neighborly activities frustrate Fred and Marlene.

I guess it's a human thing.  One day Fred decided to get Rover in his truck and take him back to the woods.

After Rover was safely in the truck, Fred drove him about a mile away.   Fred left him in the woods, Fred drove back home only to find there was Rover, walking up the drive.

Rover had returned and almost beat Fred back home.

About an hour later, Fred tried again, this time driving down the road in the other direction.

He dropped off Rover and again, when Fred returned home, there was Rover.

Marlene told Fred, "You have to take him way back in the woods and make some turns so he's confused with the direction."

So Fred tried again. This time when Rover was in the truck, he drove up a road he seldom traveled.

As he traveled down this road, he made several turns on roads he didn't remember seeing in the past, sometimes turns to the left and sometimes to the right.

Marlene was at home and looked at the clock with a worried face.  Fred had been gone for over two hours.

She hoped he was safe.  20 minutes later the phone rang and she answered.

It was Fred calling from his cell phone.  "Marlene," said Fred "is that dog back at the house?"

She looked out the window and saw Rover jogging back into the yard.  Marlene said, "Yes, he's coming up the drive now."

Fred replied, "Good, put him on the phone, I need some directions.
